Tethers: featuring quilts by Sarah McMurry and paintings and objects by Emmett Hartlove. McMurry works with naturally dyed fabrics and hand-stitched layers, using quilt making to explore memory and personal history. Hartlove uses everyday materials and simple marks to understand how objects change and gather meaning over time. Handmade processes and familiar materials hold stories and create quiet connections to the past and to places we come from.
